He should wait for the full version and give that a try. I'm sure he could find a friend who'd be willing to let him play it, rather than spending $50 on a game he ends up not liking. Demo's aren't always a 100% reflection of the final product.

Yes, but this is Half-Life 2 - a sequel to the original kickass game. Expectations are high, with good reputation to boot.

Daiktana... had challenging hype and fell through. Go Superfly Johnson, go!

Even if he does not like the game, the case looks very well done.  I'm sure he could sell the system to a rabid fanboy and get a lot of money for it.
