Before anyone says this is a good idea because brownouts suck, well, brownouts wouldn't happen if the power grid could meet demands.  Maybe something else needs to be looked at, like increasing the capacity of the power grid?  Would you accept it if the government said they'd turn off your car because the price of gasoline got too high, or that food should be rationed because the price of corn was high this week?  I hear a lot of talk about how the government has no business regulating what goes on in the bedroom.  Well, how about a nice cold shower instead?
