Title: Random Amusing Antidote (See Above)
Post by: Byskwik on 2003-01-28, 06:48
First-year students at Med School were receiving their first anatomy class, with a real dead human body. They all gathered around the surgery table with the body covered with a white sheet.
The professor started the class by telling them, "In medicine, it is necessary to have 2 important qualities as a doctor: The first is that you not be disgusted by anything involving the human body." For an example, the Professor pulled back the sheet, stuck his finger in the butt of the corpse, withdrew it and stuck it in his mouth.
"Go ahead and do the same thing," he told his students. The students freaked out, hesitated for several minutes. But eventually took turns sticking a finger in the butt of the dead body and sucking on it.
When everyone finished, the Professor looked at them and told them, "The second most important quality is observation. I stuck in my middle finger and sucked on my index finger. Now learn to pay attention."

well perception and an attention to details is important in a doctor

but regardless i think a stunt such as that could get the man fired

yes a medical professor could get fired for doing that, but it's a joke... there's no one to fire  ;)

somehow i knew id get that response but i was to lazy to add that i understood that this was a joke
i could however been so gullible and therefore i thank you phil for wanting me to be in on the joke

a real story however is from the swedish millitary academy:
where one lecturer asked everyone that had the last name Hamilton raised their hands
around 10 persons in the romm raised their hands
-thank you gentlemen you have all failed my class this year and do not need to attend godday!

he was fired
the hamiltons are an aristocratic family in sweden that has a millitary tradition
and the lecturer was sick and tired of them showing up every year in his class
nomore as he doesnt teach there any more

Yeah! Eating babies is one thing, but eating excrement is another. Atleast you don't get wierd viruses from babies, unless they're under-cooked :)
