hey guys, ever play a game called Quake III: Revolution for PS2?

its basicly the same as quake 3 arena except the person you play as starts the road to freedom. AND you get cool skins and mutations if you are skilled enough to level up. by the end of the game, the vadrigar free you, and your lookin badass.

yeah i have that

doom, daemia, anarki, klesk and sarge are the heroes you can take through campaign mode

and doom ends up looking really heavily armoured and like you said badass

it's a pity that quake 3 doesn't have that mode

While Q3: Revolution is not my favorite port, the RPG-like qualities that they added to it as well as the new gametypes and the inclusion of Team Arena weapons made it pretty fun.

I've tried numerous ways to try and check out the contents of the CD in hopes that I could make a personal copy of the skins and the levels for my own use, but unfortunately, it's some wierd compression format that Bullfrog (I think they're defunct now,) made solely for that game.

Yeah they come up in Windows as "security certificates". Slipgate - Confused

I'd love to see the Vadrigar model on the PC game. Not to mention that cool map you fight him in.

That map rocks! ive been looking for something on polycount that even seems REMOTELY simalar to the vadrigar model, no luck Slipgate - Sad

ive also been looking for something similar to that final doom skin.

I guess these skins are one of a kind and amazingly droolingy high quality Slipgate - Sad

What is an STD file?

if i knew that i could change the format and stuff and make my own copy of the model.

or can we just make these skins? that would be fun too.

i have an idea for skinning the lord of battle skin. we could use the doom statue skin as a base, and then take it from there.

I should point out, I've never SEEN the PS2 quake 3 skins, so unless they're already in q3a, I've got no idea what you're talking about.

Its not in quake 3 arena. it was specifically made for q3revolutions to show that you've progressed from slave, all the way to lord of battle. i'll describe it.

It's basicly a white/silver skin, with a shader to make it shiny. on the helmet, its dark red and theres a laser scanner(which is red) shader moving up and down the helmet visor. it looks friggin badass dude u gotta get that game

All the custom skins in Q3R look badass. Sarge's LoB skin is especially cool.

For Tabun to read:

this lord of battle skin is exactly the same person that mowed down horde after horde of demons. just one difference: he's defeated the vadrigar, and its 3 millenia later.
and besides, it would be cool to have a skin like that for anything. its just plain badass. :rules:

ill try to find some screenies. Slipgate - Tongue

I think the SDT files contain strictly wave files, but if you want to try, happy hunting. :p

Angst, the best that I could do screenshot wise would be to take a picture of my TV, get it developed, and then scan it in.  Needless to say, I've yet to take a good picture of something on my TV. :p
