Any idea what causes this to happen?:


I admit I was messing around with my settings and such, both in-game and in q3config... but this is the first time I got this. Didn't change anything I haven't changed before either. I changed everything I altered back to the way it was and it's still there.

Only exists with lava.. everything else is uneffected.

Doom - Huh?

I've never seen that before.  I'd try backing up your current q3config.cfg and starting with a fresh one.  See if that helps.  If it does, see if you can find out what setting(s) might be different between the files.  I know that r_finish being set to 0 will cause dynamic lights to go funky, so it's very possible a cvar might be to blame.

I couldn't figure it out... starting with a fresh q3config didn't even do anything. Reinstalling Gen worked tho... I even put the settings at how I had them when the funky lines appeared.. works fine.

Odd stuff, yo.

Very weird...though as Tabun said, it looks like it COULD be used for 'lavalympics.' Though I'd stay away due to my element alignment. ^^;
