I just recently reinstalled Q2 and went to find Q2E. The website seems to not be there anymore and the latest version I had on back up was .40. Does anyone know if they moved or if they are still developing it? .40 is still a decent version and VERY addictive but has no online capabilities. If not does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative source port for Q2?

I've also noticed that it doesn't seem to recognize saves past 2011... in the past I could contunu after that but lately it starts me at the begining of that map with no weapon except my blaster. I need a better source port i think. Doomsday is doing me better than that I think  Banging Head against Wall

Hmm I was looking  at some sweet mods for quake 2 then I think I stumbled upon the mods site. Although to me it seem legit, ill try to give you the link. Slipgate - Thumbs up!

With a few things that I forgot to put back, a patch and the open AL. I do believe though the version I found might be more current. On top of all that I've been spoiled by more modern shooters. I forgot there were no check points in Q2. duh... No wonder when I died it started at the beginning of the map with just a blaster.

I feel like an idiot right now lol. But I'm curious. What extras are you talking about? I wasn't aware they released any.

As for the version I have I'll have to look at it again.

But I think I got my problems ironed out with Q2E. I'll be looking for those extras though. I'm curious to see what they added in my absence. But online play would be nice though Slipgate - Sad

I don't actually know/remember what the extra's are. I've got:
  • q2e_doom3_hud.pk2
  • q2e_enhanced_hud.pk2
  • q2e_extras.pk2
  • q2e_pak0.pk2
  • q2e_068.pk2

I'll upload them, to here: http://www.tabun.nl/tmp/q2e_extra_files.zip (five mins from now).

Cool deal. I got them DL'd and I'll try them out when I get home from work tonight.  Doom - Thumbs Up! I forgot there was a D3 hud for it.
