No special programs required, afaik. Just download and play on steam. It's an entirely legal, free source mod.

Isn't a source engine product required?

Wow, now that's a surprise.  At least it isn't as long as Duke took Slipgate - Wink  I might have to put the 4870 back in the system for this.

If it does require a source game installed on steam I think I have that covered lol. I'll have to try it out. I've got the original and loved it. An updated version will be awesome.

Uh oh... it seems to be removed from you link. :/ Bummer.

..and as far as requiring a Source game, that might be true. It needs the Source SDK to run.

EDIT: Actually.. TF2 is free. So technically the SDK should therefore also be free, right? :o

Only thing is needed is Source SDK 2007 and that's free so with other words just download the mod and it will install source sdk via steam after the first installation is done! Enjoy most of HL 1 with better graphics for free Slipgate - Smile Im really enjoying it so far cept maybe the ammo cap but it makes using the other weapons more interesting thought!

Ammo cap was OK with me. The only thing that irked me (and not even that too badly) were the marines. They seemed dumber than in HL1, and were in ridiculous 'aimbot' mode, where any exposed pixel alerted them instantly. Made fights with them a bit silly.

But the graphics. Man, oh man, it's playing HL in the way it'd look if it was released at the time of HL2. ;]
