I picked this up today and played it for a while. All I can say is, this game ROCKS! A remake of the original Metroid with a bunch of new items, abilities, and even kickass remixes of the old Metroid tunes! If you find this one, I highly suggest picking it up.

Damn, don't have one of those. If I weren't broke as hell I could get a Gameboy Player for my GCube though.

Oh well.

I concur. It's just awesome. What more can a Metroid fan ask for in a GBA game? Hell, you can even unlock the original Metroid (Also featured in Metroid Prime if linked to Fusion with Fusion completed) itself.

I've started playing it, and yes it is very awesome. I have missed out on Metroid Fusion, but some people have said that it wasn't very good... what's your take on Fusion?

Really? What part of Fusion? The clone chasing you around? Slipgate - Tongue

Most of it, actually, although the damn clone was the worst.

I eventually gave up after like three days worth of frustration after running the same 25 second section over and over and over.

Oh, but it wouldn't be a metroid game if the puzzles didn't drive you insane! Slipgate - Tongue
Wait'll you play zero mission, it's awesome, but I spent two hours jumping into lava trying to find out where I was supposed to go.

Puzzles are fine. Dying repeatedly and NOT being able to escape through the hole that 5 FAQs said was the way out isn't.

Eh?

I don't remember any part that was seriously hard.. excepting the spot where you're NOT supposed to use the super bomb.. That gets you dead rather rapidly..

Metroid: Zero Mission has been a lot of fun from what I've played so far.  I haven't had as much trouble finding out where I was supposed to go next like I did with Metroid Fusion.  Though a certain part of the game involving lava had me wondering where to go for about an hour.  I really like the cutscenes, but I am finding the story to be lacking.  Fusion was nice in that it clued you in on what was going on through Samus's interacting with her ship's A.I..  It seems like Zero Mission attempted to recreate Prime's method of story-telling, but Zero Mission doesn't have all those nifty pirate logs and enemy descriptions to go along with it.

I agree, man...this game is friggin spectacular.  I seriously can't stop playing it, and I've played through on all 3 difficulty levels.

I was extremely impressed with Kraid...he's friggin awesome in this one.

And yeah, I agree with ConfusedUs that Fusion was horrible...you were practically pushed through that game by the objectives, and you didn't feel like you were able to explore anything.  There's also the fact that the Fusion suit just blows when compared to the Power Suit.  i still played it, yeah...but I didn't really enjoy it.  The bosses reminded me of Megaman or something, and the whole game itself didn't feel like Metroid.
