Title: Happy 99e day! It's here! Post by: ConfusedUs on 2004-08-08, 15:36 Welcome, everybody, to the official release date for Generations Arena v0.99e!
Tonight, at 8pm EST, we'll be rolling out the carpets and having a ball. Our servers are set, our file mirrors on their way, and our commuity is hopping! v99e has a huge list of changes, including tons of new media, a whole host of graphical improvements, a ton of code tweaks, and several major bug fixes. A full changelog can be found in this news post (http://forums.wireheadstudios.org/index.php?act=ST&f=14&t=1940&s=). Our official release party will begin at 10pm EST on our Central servers, but feel free to hop on as soon as your downloads are done tonight! Our Central servers are hosted in Dallas, Texas on a blazing fast connection. Here's the IP addresses:
We're also running a server for our European friends! Located in the Netherlands, this server provides a local, low-ping environment for all of our European players.
There may be other servers later, and I'll be adding them to the list as they pop up. Also, note that the servers on our servers page (http://www.wireheadstudios.org/generations/servers.php), with the exception of those listed above, have not been upgraded to 99e yet. If you have any questions, feel free to join our IRC channel located at #wirehead on irc.wireheadstudios.net and join in the fun. If you don't wish to download an IRC client, just use our CGI web-based client (http://www.wireheadstudios.org/irc/cgi-bin/irc.cgi). Just wondering as most places would be using EDT time at moment (daylight savings etc.) If I had to choose between Doom3 for free, or Gen 99e for ?50, you know which one I would pick :) Of course, the deal is even better than that :) Title: Re: Happy 99e day!
