ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- The state's school superintendent has proposed striking the word evolution from Georgia's science curriculum and replacing it with the phrase "biological changes over time."

The law would only ban the word from textbooks, not stop teachers from using it, or even stop the teaching of evolution.

That article makes no sense.

Tekhead:  It's a slap back at the people who've pushed Christianity completely out of schools.  It's still pointless and pathetic, and it solves nothing.

Dahahah!

http://www.cnn.com/2004/EDUCATION/01/30/ge...tion/index.html (http://www.cnn.com/2004/EDUCATION/01/30/georgia.evolution/index.html)

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- Former President Jimmy Carter said Friday he was embarrassed by the Georgia Department of Education proposal to eliminate the word "evolution" from the state's curriculum.

And the best quote ever:

"There is no need to teach that stars can fall out of the sky and land on a flat Earth in order to defend our religious faith."

This is why I further support Eistein's famous statement: Only two things are infinite: The Universe, and Human Stupidity.
