Quote An openly gay man tied the knot with his co-worker, a gay woman, to protest Washington state's marriage laws. Title: Re: Gay Man Marries Gay Woman Post by: Genialus on 2004-04-15, 09:33 :thumb: thumbs up to that one
Title: Re: Gay Man Marries Gay Woman Post by: Angst on 2004-04-15, 17:02 ... There are so many things wrong with that, on both sides, that I don't know where to begin...
As it stands, I'm not sure it's an effective stunt. Amusing, ironic maybe, but not particularly effective. It DOES however make a point that the sanctity of marriage has been relegated to little more than a cock&balls with a place to store it. Agreed.Title: Re: Gay Man Marries Gay Woman Post by: Phoenix on 2004-04-15, 18:08 I find this only demeans the concept of marriage even further. It's supposed to be a sacred bond between two who love each other dearly. Now it's relegated to nothing more than a political pawn chip. What a waste. Let love be love and damn formalities if this is the way the world wants to go. We animals don't need a "license" to proclaim OUR affections.

We're all animals... though it seems at times people forget this. *shrugs*Quote We are just an advanced breed of monkeys on a minor planet of a very average star. -Stephen Hawking, Der Spiegel, 1989 Title: Re: Gay Man Marries Gay Woman Post by: Tekhead on 2004-04-15, 22:11 I don't get it... an act of rebellion against the system by means of conformity?
Weak. Title: Re: Gay Man Marries Gay Woman Post by: Devlar on 2004-04-17, 08:47 Quote It's supposed to be a sacred bond between two who love each other dearly.
