Post by: Lilazzkicker on 2004-04-24, 17:36
I have to shut down my other monitor to use either GTKRad or Quake3/Gen....other wise it crashes continually on start up...anyway to fix this issue?

Sys specs:
proc: p3 866
mb: ive forgotten exactly what it is...
vid1: gf2 mx400 vid (agp)
vid2: tnt2 model 64 (pci)
soundcard: fortissimo 2
mem:  384mb
running win2k as my OS
drivers are seemingly updated, so im at a loss of what to do now...

make sure you have the latest version of GTK radiant and try reinstalling it. Thats all i can think of.

Hmm... I know I've gotten Q3 to run before on a dual monitor system, but I can't remember if I ran into this problem or not.  I don't live by that person any more unfortunately to test it out.  The only suggestions I can think of off-hand is to try running Q3 restored rather than fullscreen.  (Set r_fullscreen in your q3config file to 0.)  As for Radiant, that's an odd one.  I'd go with Woodman's suggestion.

Theres a little prog you can download (sorry, forgot what its called) I think from majorgeeks.com that lets you run Q3 with a second monitor. That might help.
