Title: Strogg movement (Not major in the least, still) Post by: Assamite on 2004-09-30, 21:39 I think it's got something to do with the stepslide, but I discovered that when you hold the jump key, you go slowly after you land your jump. Most people don't hold the jump key, but I thought you should know.
Title: Re: Strogg movement Post by: Tabun on 2004-09-30, 22:40 AFAIK, that's Quake 2 behaviour.. isn't it? In any case, that's part of Quake 3 bunnyhopping (to click, not hold the jump button), so I might be doing it the right way because of my Q3 training ;]
Title: Re: Strogg movement Post by: Assamite on 2004-10-01, 04:58 I have tested, and it DOESN'T do that in Q2.

Mind you, Phoenix has said to want to 'redo' pretty much all of the Strogg Trooper's physics & movement code, so this is bound to be history sooner or later :] Title: Re: Strogg movement Post by: Phoenix on 2004-10-02, 01:58 Yes, I would like to rework the physics code for both Strogg and Slipgate.
