Title: Slipgate Shotgun skinned ((yes, the other shotgun))

Now, I've kept to the original colour scheme as much as possible (aside from the metal being less blue, that is), but I'm not entirely sure I like it that way. Let's hear everybody's opinion on this, and if there are few or no complaints, I'm satisfied, and will move on to the next model/skin :]

Looks darn good to me! btw just a side note i do like the more..blue-ish color scheme too..but i think those guns you've made so far are damn good! so i don't really mind if they are not "true" to the original! :)

About the Axe. I hope its still going to look 'old'   Slippy is a very gothic class in my mind.

... must be me, but i can't tell the difference between this and the current one -_o... also, about reskinning/remodeling things - are the sounds going to be updated too? I mean, will the Slippy Shotties shout a little more powerfull/likeliness with the original sounds?...

This gun has several differences to the existing one. I could hilight them if I had the time to do it in Photoshop or something, but one major difference is the grip under the barrels. It's much wider than the one on the existing gun.

And you also haven't seen it from first-person yet.

And as has been stated many, many times in the past, the intent to replace the sounds is there, but we have no sound engineer. Nobody on the team has that experience. Want them replaced? Then by all means, help us out by either providing sounds you've created, or point us in the direction of somebody who has expertise in that field.

Also, note the gun was based both off of the pickup weapon model in Quake, aswell as the first person view of it. Additionally, it has a whole lot more polies ;]

For reference, here's the old one that Arakon had done:
http://www.wireheadstudios.org/gallery/vie...ipgatessg_shots (http://www.wireheadstudios.org/gallery/view_photo.php?set_albumName=album36&id=slipgatessg_shots)

If nothing else, take a look at the texture maps in both pictures.  You'll note on the old gun that everything was crammed into one 512x512 graphic, whereas Tab's new model has two 512x512 graphics, hence more detail.  The mesh is better overall.  The design is similar, yes, but not identical, and the first-person view is going to be dead-on to Quake.  It's a much better model.
