Title: Stargunner is now freeware.
Post by: Moshman on 2005-08-13, 06:16
The old classic side scrolling shooter is now freeware! I loved this game when it came out, it is just fun. It runs under DOS, so if you run 2000 or XP, you should get DOSbox (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/news.php?show_news=1) a great DOS emulator.
Find it here. (http://www.3drealms.com/stargunner/)

I absolutely loved playing the demo on the PC Gamer CD. This is a smart move on behalf of what was once Apogee. (Come on, Keen...) Hope more companies will follow suit.

Interestingly, I found this out not on most game sites, but Home of the Underdogs.

I found this out, strangely enough, on the 3D Realms (http://www.3drealms.com) website!

Funny old world isn't it? ;)

Just like StarGunner, you'll need DOSBox to run this, but the sequel runs under Windoze.
