Title: CGI:IRC Error (somebody help me out on this) Post by: NovAReapeR on 2006-01-13, 00:02 Hello, i've been trying to connect to the IRC Channel for a couple of minutes now. At first it connected me, and i could type. but then about 20 seconds later, it disconnected me. i tryed again and it took about 10 seconds then. i tryed popup blocker and then it didnt do anything and i still disconected after about 20 seconds again. somebody help me out on this one

For some reason, you can see other people's text fine, but as soon as you type something and hit "enter", everyone else sees an "EOF" exit message for you. Your screen on the CGI client won't show the disconnect either, it will just look like nothing is happening.
I've posted messages in the internal "Team Only" forum several months ago about this, and I've sent an ICQ message to Dicion about it, who I believe wrote the function. I'm still waiting for some kind of response. There's nothing really you can do on your end. The client is broken and needs fixing. |
