Tabun has completed skin work on our new machinegun (http://www.wireheadstudios.org/gallery/view_photo.php?set_albumName=album35&id=strogmg2_shots) model for Strogg, and will be completing animations for it shortly.  This means all of our Strogg Troopers' weapons will be finished.  In addition, we will soon be releasing a Team Member (http://www.tabun.nl/tmp/gen/preview_teamskins.jpg) skin pack.  These were developed specially for each team member by our resident pixel prodder.  You will be able to easily recognize us when we play, but you'll have to watch out for other players who might take a liking to our new threads too.  Don't say we didn't warn you!

In addition, Tab's also completed a new set of skins for the Major model that should make some Q2 players feel nostalgic.  These include the popular Athena skin, as well as Brianna, Cobalt, Jezebel, and others.  Please see This thread (http://forums.wireheadstudios.org/index.php?act=ST&f=2&t=3009&s=) for full details!

In other news, I've been working on completing the animation system for Doom's weapons.  I have a few glitches to work out, but it's very close to being finished.  This means Doom's weapons will soon be added to the list of animated guns.  For anyone who's been wanting to see that double-barreled shotgun in action, don't worry, you'll get your wish!  :rules:

Well, not important thing, but there is no "Doom class powerups" screen in gallery. :doomed:

This is true.. mostly because the doom powerups aren't very interesting to watch without animation.. but we can whip up some shots at least..

There is animated gif for earth invis. efect, so they don't have to be static.  :!:  :ninja:

Yes, I have made animated gifs for those, but they are kind of large (filesize), so I don't want to force them upon viewers. Besides, we don't show them weapon animations in .gif either ;]

Doom sphere's can be interesting to look at static (altho I like looking at screenshots in general, so.. I dunno, mostly just my opinion I guess) .. and hey, if someone likes how they look that way, they can download the mod and check them out in fully animated glory. :)

We'll get to more powerup screenshots in a bit.  Right now we have more work to do on other things.  ;)

Actually, there are static shots of Doom's powerups in the gallery.

Regen, invis and invuln, has nice looking background.
And if I see quad, then rest need update to include it.  ^_^

The Doom and Earth quads are incomplete right now.  We were working on them a while back but animations took priority.

Then one question: Whos deadhead is in that quad sphere?

 Here (http://forums.wireheadstudios.org/index.php?act=ST&f=2&t=2436&hl=)  is a healty looking Quad (http://www.tabun.nl/tmp/gen/earth_quad_02.jpg) what is incomplete about it?

There's nothing wrong with that Earth Quad model, but the test pk3 I have set up has some experimentation that was never finished.  And what are you talking about with "deadhead"?  You seeing stuff you not supposed to be seeing?  :huh:

Oh hell, that's not even a completed model, and I had no idea a screenshot was posted of it until now.

I think, Tab did it few days ago along with other spheres.

It's just a placeholder, and so it is a gallery-placeholder. Anyone with admin-rights can remove it ofcourse.. ;]
