Here would be my main reasons for liking any of the classes, since I like all 5 to some degree: Earth Soldiers: One word: Napalm. Doom Warriors: Doom was, and remains to this day, my favorite first-person shooter, and probably favorite game of all time. That and no other class has a chainsaw... Slipgaters: I love the Thunderbolt. Strogg Troopers: My first online deathmatches were playing Quake 2. It's a challenging class and has a good balance of weapons. Doom Warriors: I like speed. DOOM allows me to move. Slipgaters: I enjoy discharging with my shaft... :shifty: Strogg Troopers: Nostalgia. Quake 2 was the first FPS for the PC I owned. Arena Gladiators: I <3 the gauntlet. There are many other reasons why I like each class, but those were the first thoughts that came to mind. :p Title: Re: Why... Doom - My favorite game of all time encompassed into a playable class...nuff said Slipgate - Explosives are the best of all classes IMO Strogg - Q2 also has a special place in my heart....mainly because of the Chaingun and Railgun...BFG is fun too :p Arena - The most well rounded player class with a little bit of everything I love all the Generations and have always been (and will always be) a big fan of this mod and its predecessor from Quake 2. Earth: I love gatling guns.. and two is all the more fun Doom: 200 health that doesn't decay.. combined with the running speed Slipgate: Q1 is my favorite FPS, and probably always will be :ownage: Strogg: No offense, but I really don't like Strogg at all. Earth: Standing at street level in Dunwich lobbing mortars in through the upper windows at whoever is unlucky enough to be in the room at the time. Doom: It's DOOM!! What bigger reason is there? Slippy: RL all the way. Promode take a back seat! Strogg: The Railgun. It just seems easier to handle than its Arena counterpart. Arena: The only class with a cap-gun capable of killing anything (the MG). |
