Title: So I got some interesting spam Post by: Kajet on 2006-08-31, 00:29 Yeah apparently there's some... thing going on with microsoft tracking email and paying people just to spam others part of it is as follows

Within two weeks, Microsoft will contact you for your address and then send you a check. Honestly i don't know what to think of it, it seems ligit but... i honestly don't know.... Does THAT seem legit to you? however the part the confuses the living hell out of me is the scam part, or lack thereof, i don't see anywhere in the email saying you have to put out any cash or anything, it's... like a chain letter only promising money instead of luck... That's the part I was talking about. But still, spam people just to get money? Hah, I wouldn't do it even if I seriously needed cash. nah knowing me i'd just make a post on an internet forum baisically saying "yeah... i got this thing in my mailbox what do you guys think?" It's an obvious fake, one out of many of its kind. It's undeserving of attention and harmless excepting its (unintended) function as an advertisement. Delete, ignore, proceed.
