Title: The skybox issue (Possible solution, perhaps?) Post by: scalliano on 2006-09-25, 19:40 WARNING: Incoming double-post. Sorry in advance.
OK, before anyone gets the wrong idea, I'm fully aware that third-party engines for Gen are a no-go, but hear me out. Below is a screenie of Altarbeta on my main rig which uses a Radeon x600. Usual deal:: Title: Re: The skybox issue Post by: scalliano on 2006-09-25, 19:49 Now, here is the same shot using Icculus (http://www.icculus.org/quake3/) on the same hardware. Notice the difference? My question is that since Gen will evetually be getting its own .EXE, could such a correction be possible?
BTW Sorry for the massive screens. Title: Re: The skybox issue Post by: Phoenix on 2006-09-25, 20:55 If this can be fixed in the engine instead of waiting for ATI to fix their bloody drivers, I see no reason I can't use Icculus's fix... provided I can find it in their source.
