Its on the york st with 72th avenue Well,an attack has been discarded and Bush won't attack or say anything against someone. The situation seems to be under control but,I'm not too sure... Speculation abounds, although at this point I don't think it's terrorism as opposed to a tragic accident.

He was the only one aboard the plane, and his passport was found at the scene. There were low clouds and haze, and the plane was seen to be flying somewhat erratically before it hit the building. It was not in contact with a tower, so he was flying by sight and instruments - not uncommon for small private aircraft - and probably got confused as to his position and did not have time to react by the time he saw the building. Unless the guy had some weird death wish, I think terrorist motives can be ruled out. Accidents happen.

Now I can understand an unskilled pilot crashing. What I cannot understand is a flight instructor allowing an unskilled pilot to crash. I still believe it was an accident and nothing more, but barring any mechanical problem with the plane as a cause I would wonder about the competency of the instructor. I guess we'll never know.

Initially the reports varied from 4 people being on board to just Lidle on board, but it appears it was two people - Lidle and a flight instructor. |
