Title: Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 Available! Post by: Phoenix on 2008-01-18, 17:14 No, I'm not behind the times, I have a gift copy of each available for someone who is lacking Half-Life 2 and Episode 1. If you do not have either I will send them to you, provided you're not already intending on purchasing the Orange Box which has both, thus leaving you in the same spot I am.
Send me a PM if you want it and I'll work out the details with you. First-come first-serve, but veteran forum members get preference if I get two messages at the same time! Title: Re: Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 Available! Post by: Phoenix on 2008-01-22, 05:44 Bump! I realize just about everyone has Orange Box, but I'm not going to let this sit. You have until Friday!
Title: Re: Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 Available! Post by: ~Va^^pyrA~ on 2008-01-23, 01:07 Someone had gifted Episode 1 to me some time ago. I can't download it though because I have a crappy internet connection. Hehe.
I'll probably end up buying the Orange Box eventually anyway, so I'll be in a similar boat, trying to pawn the software off. Do all of the games require that funky online authentication stuff, or is it just Half-Life 2? I've rather go without Steam altogether, personally. Title: Re: Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 Available! Yeah all valve games do, and a few others that are available through steam, Sin episodes, The Ship for example, even though I bought the "hard plastic CD" versions in a store. Title: Re: Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 Available! Post by: Phoenix on 2008-01-28, 03:54 Well I was hoping that by saying "You have until Friday!" I'd get someone's attention. Ahh well. They're still available. Surely someone on this board knows someone who doesn't have either game and might like a copy?
Title: Re: Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 Available! Post by: Phoenix on 2008-01-28, 15:41 Episode 1 is now taken!
Half-Life 2 is still available, but for a limited time. If nobody requests it (seriously now, this is a real deadline and not just a prod) by Feb 2, I have an alternate lined up. Final chance! Title: Re: Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 Available! Post by: Arnie on 2008-01-28, 20:15 Do you have to "Unregister" the game so someone else can register it on Steam?.
Title: Re: Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 Available! Post by: Phoenix on 2008-01-28, 21:34 No, not with a gift copy. I just send the gift copy to someone on my friends list, or to their email address. They activate it on Steam, and poof, free game.
Title: Re: Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 Available! Post by: Arnie on 2008-01-29, 17:24 er... "poof " has a very different meaning across the pond.
Title: Re: Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 Available! Post by: Phoenix on 2008-01-29, 17:58 Quote poof1 interjection 1. (used to express or indicate a sudden disappearance): Poof! The magician made the rabbit disappear. That's the definition I mean. -_- |
