Title: Is it Lupus? Post by: Sucutrule on 2008-03-15, 14:43 Seriously, my computer seems to be dying or something. I can't play Diablo II because of a video error and now I can't get anything to be heard.
Somehow, it just, commited suicide or something (since I haven't been using it since monday). Any help? Title: Re: Is it Lupus? Post by: Phoenix on 2008-03-15, 23:49 You might also check your audio cables to make sure they're not damaged, or have dirty contacts. Sometimes the contacts just need to be cleaned. I recommend rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip or a soft cotton cloth. Hopefully that's all it is with the audio.

Post by: Lopson on 2008-03-17, 19:24 Try using the computer without the sound card and see if there's any change in its performance. If there is, it might be a hardware problem. If there isn't, then it still might be a hardware problem.
Also, check with taskman if there's a program eating away CPU/RAM. Sometimes, it's just a simple program leaking one of those, other times it's the goddamned svchost eating resources like a hungry monster. Title: Re: Is it Lupus? The drivers screwed themselves up somehow, but nothing a new patch couldn't fix. |
