Title: Re: Hi having issues finding servers Post by: Phoenix on 2008-08-25, 15:56 If you cannot find a server, I recommend visiting our Servers page (http://www.wireheadstudios.org/generations/servers.php) which has a list of our active servers. You should always see at least 2-3 servers on this list.
If you're showing thousands of servers it sounds like you're either using a third-party browser or else trying to find a server when starting up from normal Quake 3 Arena. Generations Arena should always be started from a shortcut. Once you've loaded Generations, you can use the in-game browser to find servers. It's set to filter out other servers and should only show Generations servers. If the in-game browser doesn't show anything, try refreshing again. Sometimes the Gamespy server finder that Quake 3 relies on does not always report accurately. |
