Title: An interesting lesson in copyright laws. Post by: Kajet on 2008-06-26, 15:49 I find this to be somewhat interesting, http://www.gamespot.com/news/6192856.html
Apparently people think that it's possible to get away with putting stolen images in games with the internet around. Post by: Phoenix on 2008-06-26, 16:01 Interesting that they claim it's from outsourced submissions. I would assume these outside people are on some kind of payroll, no? It seems odd that a game developer would outsource content creation like that. I would think that the design lead would want to have pretty strict control over the look and feel of the game, which requires artists to be in-house or at least in constant contact. It's not like you can just say "Hey, make us some textures" and expect to get exactly the kind you're going to use with nothing superfluous nor omitted. Sounds like a bit of a hedge to me.
