That's a crazy, spazz-tastic video that was a bit hard to follow at times. The animations and effects look excellent though.. and I LOVE the muzzle flash on the Doom chaingun! That little bit surprised me the most.

Let's just hope more people get their heart squeezed by that nostalgic look. I'm bored to hera "what for" or similar, when I get someone idea of Gen Arena.  :\

But any way nice to see some good news.   :doom_thumb: :doom_love:

Heh.. I just watched this video for a second time and noticed two typos, both of which are the big, blue text that appears throughout the video.

First is: 'five geneations'
And the next one is right after that one: 'one eteral combat'

Yes yes, I know.. but I'm anal about spelling and grammatical errors, sorry. :)

You don't have to be anal to worry about those errors -- those are hugetastically awful. I wonder why I didn't pick up on them...

It's because everyone is focusing on the action, except for Thomas Mink? ;)

I noticed it too, but I figured... hmm... subliminal attention getters?  Actually I discovered it after everything was uploaded, and I had already sent the news post to Pappy and uploaded the video on QuakeUnity, so I just didn't say anything as it was too late to go back and ask for a correction to the video.  I'll take the blame for not proofing carefully enough before posting.  Besides, you're all talking about Gen so.. mission accomplished?  :smirk:

Pff.. the rest of the video becomes a bit faded and heavily blurred during those sequences, so my focus shifts to reading the text.

And yes, the video does accomplish its goal.. which I'm quite sure doesn't have anything to do with spelling. :)

Hmm... I thought we were not going to be spoiling the Doom super shotgun by putting it in previews. Well, an attention getter at least! =8]

Moshman:  We had to show it off sometime.  I think everyone's waited long enough to see if we could pull that one off.

LunaG:  Don't beat yourself up over it.  Like I said, I should have noticed when I previewed the video, and I'm the project leader.  I'm supposed to be perfect.* :surprise:
