Title: Re: Gandalf from LOTR Post by: l4mby on 2004-01-04, 07:33 Wow. I'm the 1st to answer it. *shrug*
I said Gandalf the Grey. Simple really. He was more down to earth. After he became Gandalf the White, he wasn't the same cool guy he used to be. He lost some of the personality attributes that made him Gandalf in the 1st place. *shrug* Title: Re: Gandalf from LOTR Post by: dev/null on 2004-01-04, 08:24 Why isn't there an option for Magneato?
Title: Re: Gandalf from LOTR Post by: games keeper on 2004-01-04, 10:34 I wanna vote on sauroman
Title: Re: Gandalf from LOTR Post by: Angst on 2004-01-05, 02:39 Gandalf the Grey gets my vote, he was more lively before his death/near-death metamorphosis. Losing the fear of death took some of the drama out of him.

Title: Re: Gandalf from LOTR Post by: Lilazzkicker on 2004-01-08, 21:16 Grey of course....
Title: Re: Gandalf from LOTR Post by: l4mby on 2004-01-08, 21:36 More on what angst said ... I think that "not fearing death as much" thing made him more emotionless. He seemed to be, I dunno, out of it ? You're looking at the possible end of Middle Earth and he shows little to no emotion. Just wanted to smack him at times. Granted, he always had good things to say to those who were afraid, but his face and eyes always seemed, I dunno, empty ?
Title: Re: Gandalf from LOTR Post by: Phoenix on 2004-01-09, 03:48 I think that's because in the first movie they had time to concentrate more on character development. Gandalf spoke with his eyes through the Bag End sequence. Iam McKellen also stated he had more fun playing Gandalf the Grey than he did Gandalf the White. Thay may have had a lot to do with it.
Title: Re: Gandalf from LOTR Post by: l4mby on 2004-01-09, 08:12 Actually, I was just thinking about that. How you like playing a part will usually tend to reflect how it's played in the end. I dunno ... I just think more emotion could have been shown considering it was 'the end of the world.' *shrug*
