The heatsink on the server was not sufficient for the processor at high load. we knew this, and I ordered a new one to better serve it. New heatsink arrived, I was planning on going up to the server soon as I could, but the admin of the rack i have my server co-located at was going up there before I could, so I gave him the heatsink to put on for me. Problems, heatsink didnt fit right, etc etc etc. Without too much explaining, the server was left 'off' due to heat problems. Today, another new heatsink was installed, server booted, and all is good. Thats the basic story without me getting into much detail.
