Title: Lithium Q2-style FFA (4-13)
Post by: Makou on 2005-04-13, 06:22
We're kicking four classes to the curb this week and letting Strogg run wild. But this time, there's a twist: Techs and offhand hooks will be enabled as we do some Lithium Q2-style Free-For-All.

The offhand hook should already be setup in Generations' q3config.cfg, but just in case it isn't, you will need to add the following:

seta hookDOWN "hookon"
seta hookUP "hookoff"

And you will then need to bind a key to +hook, for example:

bind mouse3 "+hook"

mouse3 is whatever key you want to throw the hook. Of course, you've all read the manual, so you should know that, right? Either way, with that, you'll be good to go!

Your hosts, as usual:

European Games

Server: GenArena FFA Euro 0.99f | 80.79.36.5:27960 | Playerlimit: 20
Time: 9pm CET

North American Games

Server: GenArena Central[WHS] .99f | 69.93.136.70:27960 | Playerlimit: 20
Time: 9pm EST

Pay us a visit on IRC (irc.wireheadstudios.net, #wirehead) before it all begins, and be sure to vote for next week's gametype!

Get in the game and see if you can keep the Power Amp away from me. It's probably not as hard as it sounds, either.

Game on!

It might be a good idea to give the information for how to bind the offhand hook in the news post Makou.

I would like to thank everyone who played tonight. Techs seem to add a little something to the game once in a while, and despite concerns that some people had, I don't think they made the game too horribly unbalanced. I will definitely consider putting gametypes with techs in the poll on occasion.

I'll sort through my demos and upload fun stuff from last week (which was a blast) and this week (which was a blast, aswell).
