Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas jacked

Quote
Less than a week after a pirated version of Halo 2 began appearing on the Web, another of the year's most sought after games has been stolen. Ironically, it also happens to be a game titled after a larcenous act itself. That's right. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has become the latest victim of piracy, with illegal copies of the game, its manual, and its cover appearing on various Web sites.
First Half-Life 2, then Halo 2, and now this. Would somebody tell me why these gutless wonders feel the need to pull this garbage?

They've been doing it for years. Apparently only now that the internet is so easy to use, and the media coverage so wide-spread, it's a problem.  Doomed

I have to laugh at this. How can warez get posted on the net BEFORE the official release date if it ISN'T an inside job? Somebody at Rockstar is making a few quid/bucks on the side. Slipgate - Shifty

Well, I've already put my ?3 deposit down on a legit copy of the game and the 29th October booked off work to go stand outside GAME (in the pissing rain, no doubt) and get stuck into it. Thumbs up!

Downloading would take longer, anyway. Plus I don't have a modchip. Nor any plans to get one.

Yep.   I have to pretty much agree with you on that one.  Much like motion pictures, games are leaked out onto the internet before they actually hit the shelves.  I am pretty sure this has been the case with the GTA series since the second game.
