Republicans and Democrats are more moderate than anything Woods. You have extreme conservative parties like the libertarians and then you have extreme liberal parties like the communist party, or the green party. Since the majority of Americans lean toward the moderate areas of the political spectrum, it is only logical that the two major parties in the country do also.
