I saw the new Slipgate and Strogg blood effects for 1.0, and I like them in a way, but I was wondering if there will be an option to use quake 3 blood? I'm just not such a fan of these round particle effects

Well, a trail is a trail is a trail... I don't see why I couldn't include a cvar to control which trail function is called. I'll put that on my "to do" list for later.
