I was playing SOG for Q2 the other day and I was wondering (particularly with the upcoming CTF mappack for Gen) if there was a way of setting up class-based TDM or CTF servers (you know, instead of red vs blue you could have Strogg vs Slipgate, Arena vs Doom, etc) and if not, will it be in 1.0? That would rock imo!

Yes, class-based teams were intended from the beginning, but our initial code didn't work.  The code has been through many revisions as well, and there are other things we have to finish first.  We'll have to iron out the wrinkles when we get to the coding point of exactly how we want to do it.

Yes, this is definately something we've planned on.

You can simulate this in the current codebase if you want. Class banning is avaliable, so if you wanted to limit the classes to Doom and Slipgate, you and some friends could organize the classes into teams.

It's not the most elegant solution, but it WOULD work.
