Glad you like it! Here's some more (unskinned) stuff for Strogg: With the exception of the invulnerability (for obvious reasons), the centerpieces of the powerups could rotate in the opposite direction of the wings at a different speed, for added coolness.. We'll see ;]

And some more: Replacing the medikit model (but not changing the way it works - before anyone asks, that would only be a pointless degradation).

Replacing the medikit model (but not changing the way it works - before anyone asks, that would only be a pointless degradation). I like the model very very much but do we HAVE to replace the Strogg medkit model? I really enjoy the nostalgic feeling of having those two box medkits. They look just like Q2 but so much better.

Errr... the medkit for Strogg, in its current state... if I remember, looks exactly like the floating needle type thing that's the default for q3. Now.. the medPACKs, on the other hand... are those nice little health boxes.

And another W.I.P. shot. The Doom armor is progressing nicely. As you can see, its shape needs some tweaking, but I'll soon have it done and unwrapped. Edit: Design based on Doom art, a few pages back in this thread. As for the medikit replacement - I was indeed referring to the totally unStroggish syringe ;]

I might suggest slightly bumping up the shoulders a bit to give the armor a beefier look, but otherwise WOW! Most excellent torso work!! I can't wait to see this one skinned!

Looks great as usual. A minor nitpick- I think the edges of the plates that go over-top the shoulder blades are a little high. From my observations of the Doom cover art and Doom sprites, I would think the edges of those plates would extend down a little lower, like half way between where it is now and the bottom of the collar. Maybe it's just me...

No you're probably right. Nevertheless, in my humble opinion, it's fine as it is. Surely it is better than what one saw ingame. We are not going for a 100% precise recreation of any concept art or original versions, especially not when it would mean redoing model and skin. Nitpick noted and stored in general-nitpick-depository.

Actually, now that you have those indentations in between the "shoulder blades" and the "pecs" that nitpick I mentioned is no longer apparent; nice solution.

Is it normal to not have anything to say about how good someone's work is?
I mean... I say 'damn, that's good' or 'that's awesome'... but I've said it all before, and so has everyone else. I need something new to say... something original... hmmmmmm....
Yo man... That's SWANK!

This is one happy bird. Now if only the Doom model looked as good. Who knows, maybe a rework is in order down the line? Doom Unleashed for Q3A?
