Title screen songs aren't supposed to be all that much.

I'm just saying that the intro music of DooM3 could be a bit more "heavy".

How much heavier can you get for a horror game before it goes out of tune?

Grab it here. I was listening to a 22 second sample of this from id's page a few days ago and it sent me into a nostalgic orgasm. The slow parts of the song are very reminiscent of Quake1's tracks, while similarities to Quake2's music by Sonic Mayhem are undeniable when it gets faster. I am very pleased with the full version.

It's pretty generic, really. But since it's supporting music we should wait and see...

Meh, let's hope the music in-game is better, that title track did nothing for me.

Ok, I listened to it and as far as I'm concerned, this is pretty poor in terms of quality.
Sure the Doom 3/Id Software fanatics will go "OMGWTF!!!1!!one111!!!" and think it's the greatest piece of sh-sorry-music (ahem), I constantly expected the track to all of a sudden hit a high and fast pace. Suffice to say, that never happened.
Indeed, for a supposed horror game, I would say (at this point) the music is quite out of context.
Regards,
Yickle.

In my opinion a soundtrack is just that, a soundtrack and i don't really care how much it sucks (haven't heard it) I still think the game will p//nZ0r5 j00!

It's just title screen/main menu music, give it a break.

Musically, I loved it. I'm a fan of different, well-arranged riffs.
Fitting for Doom3? Yeah, in the credits at the end of the game perhaps. For everyone who says that it sucks and whatnot, if you listen to the music you can clearly hear that it was not composed to be moody and atmospheric, thus it was not designed to be used in-game as the song would definitely be out of place.
Don't shove a square peg in a round hole folks. Forget your preconceived notions on where the song fits for a moment and just listen to the music. Then, your judgement will be sound.
BTW: Tool kicks ass.
