The forum issues appear to have been sorted out.
I've been using a website statistic program called BBClone to give me detailed site traffic stats on the fly, as the logger our webhost uses is a bit too clunky for my tastes.
Well it seems that BBClone freaks out when the all nine stat files reach 100k in size. I removed the function from the forums and all appears to be well.
I'll be removing the function from all pages in the near future.
