My online time will be close to nil for a while, since I just moved into a new apartment. However, the cable service has been ordered and should be hooked up by this thursday night!

I can't believe that their service fee costs $5... I mean, hooking up a surfboard to a PC costs $5? Wow... the real $ seriously is in IT businesses. I wonder what it costs to run a line to the house, since attaching a 10-ft cable costs $5.

(Sorry, the last part was just a train of thought)

let me tell ya al little story that happened just last week

every 20 minutes our our internet fell out .
so we checked everething and when we came to the modem and putted it off and on again we had internet again . ( for 20 minutes or so )
so after a while we call our provider telenet .
we explain her the problem
- in the mean time 2 neigbours came to us asking us if we had internet because they didn't.
so it was probably something in our street . due they are working in our street .
so we call telenet and ask them to send someone over to see if the workers didnt hit a cable or anything .

the girl on the other side of the phone .
there are no works in your neighberhood sir . ( note that our complete road is broken up )
so my dad continues to explain the problem .
-answer "but you have internet , i can see you are online ( well du'h ,  for 20 minutes )
my dad aso explains that the neighbours also dont have internet so he asks again to send sombody over .

after a little bit of discussion the girl says that his network card is broke .
ofcours if his network card is broke , how come I cant come online and why cant the neighbours go online .

anyway , since the complete phoning was almost 45 minutes , my dad hung up after it .
and called another service of telenet .
and he makes anapointment with a technician from telenet to check the modem and so forth .
he asks specificly that the technician can come between 18.00 and 21.00 since he is home then .
telenet agrees .

on monday the technician was there at 17.00 when nobody was home .
( he called my dad on his cellphone at work when he was at our home )
and explains the problem and says he is not going to wait .
when my dad gets home the technician is long gone and under the door there is a bill of 60.00 euros for repairs (  the guy didnt do shit  )

and the problem , it fixed itself since it was something with the telenet servers .

and no my dad is not going to pay the bill .

oh......I'm so deylexic myself I thought that this Slipgate - RTFM said 'return to castle wolfenstine'  until the other day....(really)

I get very defencive about it.
