Since it looks like map-based settings are going to win the custom game poll, I'd like to know what everyone's favorite gametype is.

Anything you can put together with Genflags, DMflags, and game modes (FFA, TDM, CTF) is game for this. Want doom-only CTF? Can do. Want Strogg lithium with an insanely fast offhand hook on the Edge? It's in. Earth vs Slipgate TDM on Overwhelming Hostility? Done.

I want all three of those. What about you guys?

Oooh, I like the sound of that, can we make the Strogg lith game a Fully-loaded Strogg Lithium, fast hook FFA on Edge, no fraglimit?  Here's a few others I can think of:

Anachronistic mayhem:
Slipgate-only FFA on Simply dead
Earth vs Arena TDM on Q3DM19 with normal weapon grapple
Strogg-only CTF Rune match on japanctf
Earth "speedmatch" on thegantlet (g_speed 400 vs 320)
Doomed warehouse FFA with low gravity (g_gravity 100 = SPACE MARINES!)
Arena and Strogg FFA rail + BFG madness on ztn3dm1-ho

Just remember that changing g_gametype will change which maplist parses at present, so be careful not to execute gametype changes from within the middle of a maplist.  It should be all FFA, TDM, CTF, etc if we do this.  I think some whacked-out FFA games would by my favorite, especially the low-grav one!

ok we'll have to make it  FFA only, because changing gametypes screws things up. Doh!

I can't enable/disable specific weapons, although we have a few maps that come with a limited stock by default, like Blood Run HO.

Here's what I've picked so far!

Map: Gametype

Simply Dead: Doom-only speedmatch!
Overwhelming Hostility: No Doom
Dark Zone: Slipgate Lithium (this was the best map on Skippy lith night)
The Warehouse: Doom-only low gravity
Blood Run HO: Arena and Strogg
The Edge: Strogg Loaded Lithium
Iron Yard: Earth FFA

Pho: look this over and make sure there's no typos I might have missed.

I'm still open for suggestions, but seven maps is a few hours worth of gaming, even if a few of them have fraglimits. Everything is timelimit 15.

Also: Phoenix, do settings continue from one map to the next unless changed? I put in timelimit 15 in the first map. Will the timelimit STILL be 15 for the other maps, even though I didn't put it in?

Here's my suggestions:

Longest Yard: Doom & Slippy FFA with hooks (see who camps THEN  Sipgate - Evil )
Dunwich: Fully Loaded Lithium (all classes)
Loonies: Slippy-only low-grav
PainFromSpain: No Powerups & Loaded

g_hookspeed needs to be g_hookthrow.  There is no g_hookspeed cvar.  Other than that everything looks ok, unless you set a dmflag number wrong.  I've got the .cfg written and uploaded, Ward said he'll copy it over to the server directory tomorrow.

Mak:  I'll need you to rcon the server sometime prior to the game to set the following cvars:
g_mapsort 0
g_ffaMapList custom_game_rotation.cfg

That should set everything up.
