My only dislike about the physics for Slipgaters was in Quake if you pushed back while in the air, all your momentum was basically nulled out and you just fell straight down.
In generations you fly backwards instead.

Aside from that, I will have to agree they got the Slipgaters movement correct.

Actually, if you push the opposite of your direction of movement, your movement is cancelled.  If you're flying left, push right and you drop.  If forward, push back, etc.  What makes it tricky in Gen is bouncepads.  I had to adapt the physics to work with bouncepads or Slipgaters would have zero velocity coming off them.  Instead you have some wicked bouncepad physics if you steer left and right with the mouse in combination with your movement keys.

There's also an issue with Slipgate losing speed when he just jumps, and I really don't remember that happening in Q1. But that RL still dominates, so it's all good. Slipgate - Thumbs up!

Of course I do. The CS goes "BOOM" and is made of wood & metal right? So it is a BOOMstick.

The problem is "boomstick" in Gen is actually a group designation for all single shotguns to differentiate them from the double-barreled shotties, so whenever you say "boomstick" you're referring to the Q1, Q2, and Doom single barreled shotguns, hence the confusion.

If we're going across all versions, the railgun rockets for Slippy were the best. Slipgate - Smile

don't forget that betabug where strogg could fire BFGballs all over he place and didnt detonate against the walls ( they just kept hanging against the walls floors) , making anyone getting even near the ball getting killed by bfglasers .

it should actually be somekind of weapon in the level , you could use it in a nuclier reactor kind of level
or like somekind of ball that is always bumping between 2 walls

or if anyone remembers hipdm1
something like that pipe thingy but then vertical where the bfgball is getting tossed straight up whereafter it will fall down back to the pipe wich will throw it straight up again .
