American McGee's ALICE would make a really good movie, if done well.
I've just finished playing it, over the last 10 days or so, and basically have played little else since starting it. took my whole attention.
Last night I did a gig with my band, and some fans got thier capri stuck on the lawn of a vicarage next door to the hall. there was a 45 degree bank around the lawn, and they backed the car down it onto the sunken lawn while trying to do a 3 point turn....
We all pushed etc, but the driver was out of his head, the 6 girls with him were all drunk and shouting, and we managed to get the 20 year old car back down onto the lawn, but it caught fire underneath! due to a broken fual line, I suspect. At this point (about 2 a.m.) the vicar woke up, came out and started shouting at every body, while in a dressing gown, and I thought it better to run than be arrested for lots of things, including substance/drink, etc and an overloaded car, so drove off as quick as I could, with Helen the Goth at the wheel and an entire P.A. system and 2 guitars, 2 banjos and a mandola in the back.
I'll post an update when I hear from my fiddle player, if the car didn't blow up.
Who says live music is dead?
