The snake will be alright. And the residents are safer now. Can you imagine how it feels to know that a giant snake can sneak into your home and when you wake up, you see a giant thing crawling on the floor during the night?

I'm just glad a sensible person found it and took it away unharmed.  It wouldn't have been a problem had the previous "owner" taken proper care of the poor creature.
