What ever happened to the planned (proposed? mythical even?) single player aspects of this mod?  Was it just one of those things that seemed like a good idea to advertise for a while, only to be realized that it's not worth the effort?  Or are you guys still planning on incorporating some kind of story driven campaign mode that would let us play aspects of any of the Great Games single player modes?

It's still a great mod without it, and I do fully realize the effort needed to enact the single player portion, but it was advertised quite prominently for a while, and then never mentioned again, so I was just wondering about the status.

For the moment it's on hold until 1.0 is completed and the bugs shaken out, since modding in single-player at the same time we're doing major changes to the base code framework would complicate things beyond belief.  I'd say it's in limbo for the time being, neither cancelled nor confirmed, unless Lee corrects me on this.

I think the implication is on resurgence/hunt style single player, no the regular deathmatch tier thing that your normally find in Quake 3

For a while now I've wanted 'true' single player in Quake, and for the last month or so I've been experimenting on a mod which does that.

It's been a while since I've played Q3 Generations, and it's the first time I've visited this forum... I was a bit concerned when I saw this "Single Player" topic but fortunately it appears that what you've planned is similar to Q3's existing single player.

Not necessarily. We have a mod called 'resurgence' on the backburner. It's more along the lines of the Hunt mod than regular q3 single player.

Doom single player as opposed to Half Life
