It's a proposed Single-player mod for GenArena, based upon the source code for the
Hunt
mod that's been out for awhile now. It's been put on hold till GenArena 1.0 is out.

For legal reasons, we're restricted to models that are already out on the 'net. If we replicate a monster from an old id game, Resurgence is gonna get foxxed.
There's several good models on polycount though.

I had a suggestion for the ressurgance thing. I think it should be in 2 modes, one the regular random hunt style of things coming out of nowhere and another...
There was this mod for rather poor realism mod for Quake 2 that had a good idea. Since they lacked any maps of their own they had a "developer mode" you could access inside a map that allowed you to place entities inside the map itself which could be exported to a text file as coordiance that could be executed on the start of that map. This eliminated the need for them to have their own maps since they could use any map and adapt it to their needs, since you need all vanilla quake maps to run this sounds like a good idea for placing monster entities on pre-existing levels.

they had something similar for quake 3 somewhere , could be cool for resurgence , but not for gen.

Wow, like that isn't asking a lot from us!
I don't see that as happening Dev. It's just too big in scope and complexity to implement. Regarding classic "Q3 Single Player", we DO intend to get that working again. The new UI kind of killed it off, and we've never gotten around to fixing that so far. As for a "Generations-specific" Q3-style SP tier, I won't rule out the possibility but right now there is nothing on the table in that respect. Resurgence we'll tackle once the REST of Gen is done.
