A quick background story:

Roughly three years ago I ordered cable internet. Within the month, my father wanted to use it, and it was agreed that we would meet the bills half-way; as he wanted to run a webserver.

As of today, I have fully paid 27 months worth of the bill, 12 of these coming out of my saving's account. My parents have paid for 10 months.

Today, I was told that my parents are going to stop paying the internet bill. This, I would imagine, is in the hopes that I'll be able to magically pull a job out of my ass from sheer frustration/panic. In any event, I have roughly a month in which to find a job and make $47.20. In her infinite wisdom, dear Mother has decided that we're going to take a 13-day family trip to Kansas. We leave sometime Monday, June 14th. This leaves me with approximately 13 days to find a job and earn the above-mentioned amount.

Most likely, I'm going to vanish for an indeterminate amount of time.

It's been fun, and I'll check in as possible, but I'm not making any guarantees.

family trip, either I go now, or I spend personal money I don't have for a bus-ticket at some point before school starts.

Mom's entire side of the family, and she's guilt-tripping me on it as she doesn't know how many more years my grandparents have left.

Average apartment cost is $700 per month plus electric. Tack on car-loan (savings was SUPPOSED to go here) and that busts me up to almost $1000 a month. Might as well move to Cali, at least California has scenery beyond swamps and paper mills.
