On the subject of emoticons...
I can take another shot at those if you'd like.
I stopped because I couldn't get DOOM guy to look like DOOM guy with his helmet off. He just looked like A guy, and adding detail to a 20 x 24 sprite is hard to pull off for me. The nice thing about creating the Slipgate emotion was that his helmet was instantly recognizable and didn't obscure his face. :p
This is where I left off with the DOOM guy emoticon if you don't remember.

a wee bit on the large side, I should think.. Smileys were never really about facial likeness anyway -- maybe for a set of MSN emoticons large versions would be nice, then you could even use the original DooM face resolution.. :]
