Ugh... First the European server went down, then the forums.

It's good to have you back. But there are still some problems woth the European sever.  For  a few days it wasn't visible at all in "The all seeing Eye".
Now I everything is fine for me but  Ashen cannot. connect. He keeps getting a timeout out, which is a bit weird, since we have basicly the same connection.  If any of you guys can help, please do..

UPDATE: ok, so I get a timeout as well. But the game server works fine with me, while Ashen still cannot connect. and he cannot access the forums as well

We did have some technical difficulties, but they've since been resolved and both are back online for the forseeable future.  About those timeouts, what kind of connect are both of you on?  Are you behind any firewalls?  The server is located in Amsterdam, so I'm not sure if geography might be a concern as well.  If you can do a traceroute to the server and email it to Dicion maybe we can help pin down what's causing the trouble.  I'm guessing it's a router between here and there somewhere.

I have a cable connection, while Ashen has ADSL. We  basicly share the same servers for connections "with the world". But there are slight differences. He gets a timeout somwhere in niderlands.  Oh, and we both  turn off the firewall  for mp. Everyting used to be ok, he used to have ping about 45.  Anyway here's a log from tracert :

ok, we are having some server issues there.... they should be fine for now... however.. we are making one FINAL (hopefully) server move later this week... *ugh* hopefully this will resolve all the problems... do me a favor.. do a traceroute to artemis.drwilco.net and show me what you get..

the new location for our server will be in the same rack as that one.

Everything is fine now. Everything is fianlly working... Execpt Games Keeper no longer shows up whenever  I'm on the european server. Well, honestly no one really shows up on the server. At least when I play (usually after 10 p.m.).

But anyway, a few days ago there was something interesting going on. Before connecting I had a ping 70. When I entered the game I had ping about 400-700 but the funny thing  is that there was a sort of time acceleration. Every match lasted half the time it should, when gaining a Quad it would last for like 4 seconds and most of the time I had no idea where I was because of  high ping.

BUT, I gotta admit that playing that way was great. No really, it was.

Maybe it's a good idea for a mod? Slipgate - Wink

hopefully its a short-lived trend...
