Just in case anybody reads this, Toz is a lad at my school, who beat me at UT, so I gave him Generations to play with.

Toz: theres a late night game on the USA server on thursday night about 2am GMT (I think) and the other players will welcome you with open rocket launchers!

The next time for me should be saturday at 8pm, GMT. Don't forget to set com_hunkmegs, as per the instructions. It stops the jerkyness you get in the game, as Gen needs more memory than regular Q3.

Like this ----  "C:Program FilesQuake III Arenaquake3.exe" +set com_hunkmegs 128
with no gaps between the '+' and the 'set'    the manual gets that bit wrong.

Actually...  that minimum turns out to be too low I've found, especially if you run with higher graphics settings.  128 is 4 freaking megs too small to avoid the dreaded hunk_alloc failure.  Try using 150 to be safe.
