So am I, but there's a lotta people that don't want to d/l 100 megs of gen, including mappacks, and THEN 60 more megs of 'wait for fileplanet' custom maps. I've been attempting to get ahold of pappy to request only gen maps be in the rotation...

I understand that Pappy-R wants to support the community with custom maps. I also understand that he wants to direct more traffic to FilePlanet. But this is overkill.

I wanted to do a quick jump on the server, but I didn't want to bother with a 1 hour wait at FilePlanet.  Slipgate - Sad

When 99c is released and pimped there should be at least one server available with only stock maps, IMO. Just so the large amount of people that just want to take a quick peek at GenArena can do so.

I can set Firestorm up on a stock Q3 map rotation for a while after the release.  I won't need it for beta testing for a while after that anyway.
