I'm new to this board, and i was just wondering......why is the earth soldier class disabled in Gen Arena v99c Doom - Huh?

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Your problem is about  GENflags. It's a command that restricts classes. The default is set to 0 - no restrictions but  some reason sometimes "1" is th default (my friend had that). So all you have to do is bring down the console and type
 " GENflags 0 " and that should help (at least that is the only things that comes to my mind). Anyway, read through the manual. It's all there.

Oh, and that only works if you are the admin of that Generations server, so if you happen to bump into some server with GENflags 1 you can't do much about that.

If you updated from .99b to .99c, Earth class is disabled because of an issue regarding one of the default config files. Genflags should be set to 0.

Yes it's recommended that you remove your old generations folder and then install 99c

eehm if you can vote you can put it of
"/callvote genflags 0" and all classes are enabled (works on the planetquakeserver )

last time i went on planetquake I desabled q3 class and enabled all the others Slipgate - Wink

hrm well i do play as arena sometimes, and why? cuz you don't meet a doom guy with a BFG9000 there Slipgate - Wink
