Ok, I leave, am gone for 8-9hrs, come back to find a whole partition of mine is now corrupted, completly f@cked!  I will be fixing, or attempting to fix this issua ASAP, till then its permanent downtime till i can resolve this.

If that computer's OC'd, get bring it back down. That computer has issues with the IDE controllers when OC'd.

For those not in the know, lil's current computer is one I gave him.

that sucks man..if i where you i whould start to consider buying a new puter... since it's already pretty much outdated, yes it costs moneys but it's worth it. Slipgate - Smile

I had something similar. XP crashed and after restart it just kept rebooting right before going into graphic mode.  Since it was a NTFS partition, I had to use Linux to save some of my files (hail to the mighty Knoppix).
Thy funny/dumb thing is while XP couldn't recognize it's own partition, Knoppix handeled it very well.

It's times like these when you really apreciate making a os-only partition... format c: all the way!
